Perusal of the custody certificate reveals that convict Mindi Singh @ Lakhwinder Singh was released on eight weeks’ parole w.e.f. 11.04.2020 and he was directed to surrender back on 07.06.2020, but however, he had not surrendered till date and absconded from parole. Considering the period, since when the applicant-appellant had absconded from parole and moreover, taking into consideration the fact that none had made appearance on his behalf today, without prejudice to the rights of the applicant-appellant to be adjudicated on merits, the present application is hereby dismissed for want of prosecution.
