This is the first petition which has been filed by the petitioner under Section 483 of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita, 2023 (for short – ‘the BNSS’) seeking regular bail in case bearing FIR No.278 dated 11.12.2018 (Annexure P-1), under Sections 15 and 22 of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act, 1985, (for short – ‘the NDPS Act’), registered at Police Station Kotwali, Kapurthala, District Kapurthala, Punjab. 2. Allegations qua the petitioner are that on 11.12.2018, 20 kgs poppy husk and 15 intoxicant injections (2ml each containing salt Buprenor- phine Hydrochloride) were recovered from the possession of the petitioner, without any permit or licence. 3. Learned counsel for the petitioner prays for grant of regular bail to the petitioner on the following grounds:- i. That the petitioner has been falsely implicated
