The present petition has been filed by the petitioners under Articles 226/227 of the Constitution of India, seeking issuance of a writ of mandamus directing the respondents to place the petitioners in the Special/Dying cadre created under the Policy dated 16.05.2023 and to grant them minimum pay scale + dearness allowance + grade pay with all consequential benefits from the date when it became due and rectify the fudged/manipulated service records of the petitioners in view of the directions issued by this Court in CWP-19238-2013 titled as ‘Amrish Sharma and others Vs. State of Punjab and others, decided on 26.02.2024 (Annexure P-3) as the petitioners are fully eligible and entitled for the same. 2.
