Learned counsel for the petitioners submits that against the final voter list, appeal can be preferred before the competent authority under the Punjab State Election Commission Act, 1994, hence, liberty be given to file an appeal to challenge the final voter list and the respondents be directed to decide the same. 2. Learned counsel for the respondents submits that in case any appeal is received within a period of 24 hours, the same will be decided in accordance with law before finalizatioin of the nomination papers in terms of the notification issued in the scheduled election to be held on 26.05.2026. 3.
