(Oral) The petitioners namely Mamta Rani and Sanju have approached this Court under Article 226 of the Constitution of India for seeking protection of their life and personal liberty from private respondents No.4 to 9. Learned counsel for the petitioners inter alia contends that the petitioners are major and are staying together in live-in relationship. However, their relationship is not acceptable to the private respondents and as a result, thereof, the private respondents are threatening the petitioners. A representation dated 08.05.2026 (Annexure P-3) against the threat extended at the hands of the private respondent(s) already stands submitted by the petitioners to the Senior Superintendent of Police, District Sangrur, Punjab.
