The present petition has been filed by the petitioner under Articles 226/227 of the Constitution of India, seeking issuance of a writ of mandamus directing the respondents to promote the petitioner from the date when his juniors were promoted as Principal w.e.f. 29.11.2022 (Annexure P-3) with all the consequential benefits including arrears of pay, seniority etc. and also pay the accrued arrears along with interest @ 18% per annum from the date of accrual till actual realization of the same. 2.
