This petition has been filed under Section 528 of BNSS for quashing of FIR No. 107 dated 28.03.2021 under Section 379-B IPC (now Section 304 of BNS) registered at Police Station Sohana District SAS Nagar (Mohali) and all consequential proceedings arising therefrom. 2. Learned counsel for the petitioners submits that the final report in the abovementioned FIR has not been filed despite the lapse of five years. 3. Notice of motion. 4. Mr. P.S. Pandher, learned Assistant Advocate General, Punjab, accepts notice on behalf of the respondent-State. He submits that the final report shall be submitted very soon. 5. I have heard learned counsel for the parties and gone through the case file. 6. Keeping in view the above, the State is directed to submit the final report within a period of four weeks.
