By way of present petition filed under Section 483 of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita, 2023 (for short - ‘the BNSS’), the petitioner is seeking regular bail in case bearing FIR No.167 dated 09.12.2019, under Section 379-B read with Section 34 of the Indian Penal Code, 1860 (for short - ‘the IPC’), registered at Police Station Division C, District Police Commissionerate Amritsar. 2. After arguing for some time, when this Court was not inclined to grant bail to the petitioner, learned counsel for the petitioner limited his prayer to the extent that the trial of the case is at the stage of prosecution evidence and the trial court be directed to expedite the proceedings and to conclude the trial expeditiously. 3. On the other hand, learned State counsel placed on record the custody ce
