Nagar (Mohali), Punjab. 2. The case of the prosecution is that the petitioner had taken an office on rent from the complainant at a monthly rent of ₹55,000/-. The petitioner represented that he was engaged in the business of real estate and, on that assurance, obtained ₹7,00,000/- from the complainant on 08.07.2024 and a further sum of ₹3,00,000/- on 14.08.2024 through online transactions, promising to invest the amount in real estate ventures and to share the profits earned therefr
