While invoking the jurisdiction vested in this Court by virtue of Articles 226/227 of the Constitution of India, the petitioner has filed the present writ petition for a writ in the nature of certiorari. By virtue of present petition, the petitioner is seeking the quashing of order dated 23.01.2026, passed by the Senior Superintendent of Police Mansa, and the order dated 10.02.2026, passed by the Deputy Commissioner Mansa, whereby the prayer of petitioner for grant of parole has been rejected. 2. By virtue of present case, in addition to abovementioned prayer, another prayer in the nature of mandamus has been sought for a direction to the respondents to release the petitioner on temporary/emergency parole for a period of eight weeks, under Section 3(1)(D) of ‘the Punjab Good Conduct Prisoners (
