(ORAL) The prayer in the present petition under Section 528 of BNSS, 2023 is for issuance of directions to the respondents to register an FIR against the accused persons on the basis of the MLR No.M153001342600298 dated 23.03.2026 (Annexure P-1) and complaints submitted by the petitioner. The learned counsel for the petitioner contends that amputation of the third phalanx of his little finger of the left hand has taken place. However, no FIR has been registered despite a cognizable offence has been made out and therefore, directions be issued to the Investigating Agency to register an FIR under the appropriate sections. Heard. The petitioner has an efficacious alternative remedy to approach the Magistrate by way of an application under Section 156(3) Cr.P.C. (now Section 175(3) of the BNSS, 2023) or by instituting a JITESH LAL 2026
