The present petition has been filed by the petitioners under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, seeking issuance of a writ of certiorari for quashing the notifications dated 01.06.2023 (Annexure P- 5) and 24.07.2023 (Annexure P-6) and action of the respondents, whereby the pay of the petitioners has been fixed Rs.18,000/- per month, at present drawing Rs.19,845/- per month, whereas the similarly situated employees are getting the pay of Rs.25,500/- per month which is contrary to the principle of ‘Equal Pay for Equal Work’.
