The petitioner has filed the instant petition under Articles 226/227 of the Constitution of India, seeking issuance of a writ of mandamus directing the respondents to release 10 increments illegally withheld by the respondents from 1975 to 1985 along with all consequential benefits, arrears, revised pay scale/pension etc. from the date its became due till its realization with interest @ 12% per annum. 2. After arguing the case for sometime and realising that the Court is not inclined to interfere in the matter as the petitioner retired from service on attaining the age of superannuation on 30.06.2008 and the instant petition has been filed after a period of 18 years, learned counsel for the petitioner wishes to withdraw the instant petition. 3.
