(Oral) In the present writ petition, the petitioner is praying for issuance of a writ in the nature of mandamus directing the respondents to grant arms license to the petitioner for his safety and security. 2. Learned counsel appearing on behalf of the petitioner submits that the petitioner had submitted an application vide acknowledgment receipt dated 05.08.2023 (Annexure P-2) for grant of arms licence. However, till date, no decision has been taken thereon by respondent No.2. He submits that as no decision has been taken by respondent No.2 on the said application, the petitioner has also submitted an application dated 17.03.2026 (Annexure P-5) to respondent No.2 to take decision on the application dated 05.08.2023 (Annexure P-2) submitted by the petitioner for grant of arms license. 3.
