(Oral) In the present writ petition, the petitioner is praying for issuance of a writ in the nature of mandamus directing the respondents to grant the service benefits under the old General Provident Fund (GPF) Scheme along with all consequential benefits. 2. Learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submits that during the pendency of the present writ petition, Director General of Police (DGP) has issued a circular dated 07.01.2025 clarifying that Old Pension Scheme is applicable where request was received prior to 01.01.2004.
