The present petition has been filed by the petitioner under Articles 226/227 of the Constitution of India, seeking issuance of a writ of mandamus directing the respondents to release the arrears of revised leave encashment and gratuity arising out of the implementation of the 6th Punjab Pay Commissioner in respect of the services rendered by the petitioner’s deceased wife, late Jasbir Kaur (retd. Lecturer in Economics), along with interest @ 9% per annum on the delayed payment. 2.
