The present petition has been filed by the petitioner under Articles 226/227 of the Constitution of India, seeking issuance of a writ of mandamus directing the respondents to grant the weightage of additional qualifying service of five years in view of Rule 4.2 of Punjab Civil Services Vol.II as well as instructions dated 08.10.2021 (Annexure P-8) and further, incorporate the name of the son of the petitioner in PPO as dependent and to pay the interest @ 18% per annum on the delayed payment of gratuity as well as arrears of pension which has been paid after considerable delay. 2.
