Through the instant petition, cast under Article 226/227 of the Constitution of India, a challenge is thrown to the Award dated 01.11.2017 (Annexure P-1), whereby the reference was answered in favour of respondent no.2-workman, however, instead of granting reinstatement, he was granted lump sum compensation amounting to Rs.1,50,000/-. 2. The said was payment, as directed, to be made by the petitioner-management within a period of 08 weeks from the date of the Award, and failing which, respondent no.1-workman, was held entitled to interest at the rate of 9% p.a.
