In the present writ petition, the petitioner is praying for issuance of a writ in the nature of Certiorari for quashing of the order dated 01.04.2026 (Annexure P-11), whereby the claim of the petitioner for grant of promotion to the rank of ASI w.e.f. 26.07.2024 has been declined. The petitioner has further prayed for a direction to the respondents to consider and grant promotion to the petitioner to the post of ASI w.e.f. 26.07.2024, relying upon the order dated 30.01.2025 (Annexure P-8) passed by respondent No.2, whereby the ACR of the petitioner for the period from 24.09.2018 to 20.11.2018 was directed to be treated as ‘Good’. 2.
