Instant writ petition has been filed under Articles 226/227 of the Constitution of India seeking a writ of mandamus directing the respondents to grant minimum of the pay scale of the post of Principal to the petitioner for the period he has discharged duties as officiating Principal w.e.f 01.08.2011 in the light of the judgment dated 01.07.2010 (Annexure P-7) passed in CWP No.4552 of 2003 – Darshan Singh and another v. The State of Punjab and others; to grant to the petitioner at least the minimum of the pay scale attached to the post of Principal for the entire period during which he has discharged the duties of the said post along with all consequential benefits and to release all arrears of salary and allowances arising therefrom along with admissible interest within a time-bound period.
