This is the first petition under Section 483 of BNSS, 2023, seeking concession of regular bail to the petitioner in case FIR No. 17 dated 18.01.2026 registered under sections 21, 25, 27-A, 61, 85 NDPS Act, 1985 at Police Station Jandiala, District Amritsar Rural. 2. Learned counsel for the petitioner contends that the petitioner has been falsely implicated in the present case. It has been further contended that nothing has been recovered from the present petitioner. He further contends that the alleged contraband recovered from the possession of the petitioner i.e. 100 grams of heroin falls within the category of intermediate quantity. It has been further averred that the petitioner is in custody since 18.01.2026 and no useful purpose would be served by keeping the petitioner behind the bars. POONAM NEGI 2026.05.11
