The present petition has been filed under Section 482 of Bharatiya Nagrik Suraksha Sanhita, 2023 seeking anticipatory bail for the petitioner in FIR No.65 dated 09.03.2026 under Sections 331(6), 329(3), 304, 305, 324(4), 191(3), 190 and 62 of the BNS, 2023 (Sections 458, 447, 304 (new edition), 380, 427, 148, 149 and 511 of IPC) registered at Police Station Canal Colony, Bathinda, District Bathinda. 2. On 21.04.2026, this Court had passed the following order:- “Learned counsel submits that there is unexplained delay of 2 days in lodging the FIR. The petitioner was, as a matter of fact, not even present at the place of occurrence as being a cyclist, participated in an event in Audax Club Parision in a 600 kms ride starting from 07.03.2026 at 05:30 A.M., for which reference is made to Annexures P-2 to P-2/1, these being cycling AIR RAJENDER KUMAR 2026.05.
