The present petition has been filed by the petitioners under Articles 226/227 of the Constitution of India, seeking a writ of mandamus directing the respondents to refix their pay in accordance with the State instructions dated 05.01.2026 (P-1) in view of the judgment of this Court in CWP-15896-2023 titled as ‘Saurabh Sharma and others Vs. State of Punjab and others’ decided on 13.09.2024 and the Punjab State Elementary Education (Teaching Cadre) Group-C Service Rules, 2018. 2. Learned counsel for the petitioners submits that for redressal of their grievances, the petitioners have also served legal notice dated 18.02.2026 (Annexure P-9) to the respondents, which is still pending consideration. He further submits that at this stage, the petitioners would be satisfied, if appropriate directions are issued to the respondent
