In the present writ petition, the petitioner is praying for issuance of a direction to the respondents to release the death-cum-retiral and pensionary benefits pertaining to the deceased son of the petitioner, namely Rupinderjit Singh. 2. Learned counsel submits that the daughter-in-law of the petitioner has now got remarried as such, the petitioner is entitled for grant of family pension. Learned counsel further submits that petitioner has also served a legal notice dated dated 22.04.2026 (Annexure P-5) in respect of grant of pensionary benefits. 3. Learned counsel, on instructions from the petitioner, submits that at this stage, petitioner will be satisfied if a direction is given to respondent No.4 to decide the legal notice dated 22.04.2026 (Annexure P-5) served by the petitioner, in a time bound manner.
