The petitioner through instant petition under Articles 226/227 of the Constitution of India is seeking setting aside of order dated 16.10.2023 (Annexure P-13) as well as letter dated 30.05.2022 (Annexure P-9) whereby respondents have cancelled his Scheduled Caste Certificate dated 07.06.1993. 2. The petitioner was issued Scheduled Caste Certificate on 07.06.1993. As per said Certificate, petitioner belongs to Sirkiband Community. He was appointed as Peon in the Education Department under PWD Quota. He was promoted as Clerk in 2013. State of Punjab on 15.07.2019 issued instructions regarding issuance and verification of SC/BC/OBC Castes Certificates.
