Today, the detenu has been produced in the Court by Sub Inspector Gurcharan Singh, Police Station Jodhan, Ludhiana. The detenue, who is 62 years old person, has stated that he is voluntarily residing with his sister, namely Sukhwinder Kaur, at village Kupkalan, District Malerkotla. Since the detenu is major and he is willing to reside with his sister, therefore, no direction with regard to transfer of his custody can be passed. In view of above, learned counsel for the petitioner submits that he may be permitted to withdraw the present petition. Dismissed as withdrawn.
