The present petition has been filed by the petitioner under Articles 226/227 of the Constitution of India, seeking a writ of mandamus directing the respondents to grant him actual promotion to the post of Head Warder from the date his juniors were promoted i.e. 19.03.2018, with all consequential benefits alongwith interest @ 12% per annum. 2. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that for redressal of his grievances, the petitioner has also served legal notice dated 17.07.2025 (Annexure P-3) to the respondents, which is still pending consideration.
