The present civil writ petition has been filed under Articles 226/227 of the Constitution of India for issuance of a writ in the nature of mandamus directing the respondents to count the work charge service period rendered by the petitioner from 01.11.1980 to 22.01.1991 for the purpose of pension and pensionary benefits in accordance with Haryana Civil Services (Pension) Rules, 2016 Chapter IV (14) (5) regarding counting of work charge service towards pension duly adopted by the UHBVNL.
