Learned counsel for the petitioners contends that the petitioners apprehend threat to their life and liberty at the hands of the respondent-police officials and, therefore, seeks protection from this Court. 3. Notice of motion. 4. On the asking of the Court, Mr.P. S. Pandher, AAG, Punjab accepts notice on behalf of the State and opposes the prayer made in the present petition.
