Prayer in the instant petition filed under Section 483 of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita, 2023 is for grant of regular bail to the petitioner in case FIR No.164 dated 18.09.2025 registered under Section 21(c) of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act, 1985 (Sections 27 and 29 of the NDPS Act added later on), at Police Station City Malout, District Shri Muktsar Sahib. 2. Brief facts of the present case are that on 18.09.2025, SI Kulbir Chand, along with his fellow police officials was on patrolling duty and on suspicion, apprehended co-accused Sukhvir Singh and Manpreet Sharma alias Preet, who were found in conscious possession of 4 kg. 4 mg. of heroin.
