The petition has been filed under Articles 226/227 of the Constitution of India seeking directions to respondent no.2 to protect the life and liberty of the petitioners at the hands of respondents no.3 to 7 as the petitioner has a reasonable apprehension that local police official i.e. respondents no.3 to 5 intend to falsely implicate him in criminal case at the instance of respondents no. 6 and 7. 2. Learned State counsel has filed status report by way of affidavit of Vaibhav Choudhary, IPS, Superintendent of Police, Headquarter, Patiala, District Patiala, in Court today. The same be kept on record. Copy thereof has been furnished to learned counsel for the petitioner. 3.
