The substantive prayer made in the petition reads thus: ‘ Issuance of writ nature of MANDAMUS directing the Respondents to provide adequate security to Petitioner so as to safeguard his life and liberty and to take appropriate action upon the representation dated 11.05.2026 (Annexure P-5) sent to Respondent No. 5/Senior Superintendent of Police, Moga, in light of persistent, grave, and imminent threats to their lives.’ 2. Learned counsel for the petitioner after arguing for sometime has limited his prayer by stating that he would be satisfied, for the nonce, if a direction is issued to respondent No.5-Senior Superintendent of Police, Moga to consider and take a conscious decision on the representation dated 11.5.2026 made by the petitioner (copy whereof has been annexed as Annexu
