(Oral): This is first petition for bail, filed by the petitioner under Section 483 of the ‘Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita 2023’. This petition pertains to a case arising out of FIR No. 42 dated 07.04.2025 under Sections 22, 27, 29, 31, 61 & 85 of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act 1985, hereinafter being referred to as ‘NDPS Act’ only, Police Station Sadar Samana, District Patiala. 2. The abovementioned FIR came into being at the instance of ‘ASI Sarabjit Singh’, who had reported that on 07.04.2025 at about 04.30, when he was leading a team of police officials, deputed for patrolling duty, at bus stand village Ghazipur a reliable source gave him a tip-off that ‘Ishqdeep Singh’ (petitioner herein) was involved in the sale of narcotic substance.
