(ORAL) The petition has been filed inter alia seeking a writ of mandamus directing the respondents to count the ad hoc service rendered by the deceased petitioner (whose husband has filed the instant petition on her behalf) from 15.10.1985 to 31.12.1990 towards seniority in the cadre of Associate Professor ‘H.E.S. Group-B’. 2. Learned counsel contended that the deceased was appointed as Lecturer on ad hoc basis in the College on 15.10.1985 and continued to work as such till 31.12.1990; she was regularised in service with effect from 01.01.1991. After rendering satisfactory service in the College, she retired as Associate Professor on 30.06.2020, and was given the due retiral benefits. As she was suffering from cancer, she passed away in December, 2024.
