The present writ petition under Article 226 of the Constitution of India read with Section 528 of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita, 2023 has been filed seeking issuance of a writ in the nature of mandamus directing respondents No.1 to 3 to protect the life and liberty of the petitioners from the hands of private respondents No.4 to 10 and other annoyed relatives of respondent No.4 as they are harassing and interfering in the life of the petitioners and became annoyed as petitioner No.1 is not living with respondent No.4. 2. Learned counsel for the petitioners seeks protection of life and liberty of the petitioners by contending that both of them are major and are living together in a ‘live-in relationship’ against the wishes of the private respondents and seek appropriate protection from the authorities.
