The prayer in the instant criminal writ petition filed under Articles 226/227 of the Constitution of India is for the issuance of a writ in the nature of mandamus directing official respondent(s) to protect the life and liberty of the petitioners at the hands of private respondent(s) and to restrain them from interfering in peaceful life and liberty of the petitioners. 2. Learned counsel for the petitioners contended that the petitioners are major and they have solemnized marriage with each other, but they apprehend threat to their life and liberty from the private respondents.
