In the present writ petition, the petitioner has challenged the order of discharge dated 14.05.2008 (Annexure P-3) passed by the respondent authorities. Petitioner has also challenged the order dated 08.02.2023 (Annexure P-10), whereby the case of the petitioner for re- enrolment has been rejected. 2. Learned counsel appearing on behalf of the petitioner submits that the petitioner along with six other Home Guards was discharged from service by the respondents. It is the case of the petitioner that he was discharged from service on the ground of absence from duty.
