The petitioner-senior citizen has approached this Court, by way of instant writ petition, as cast under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, against the orders dated 18.09.2023 (Annexure P-3) and 30.04.2024 (Annexure P-5), vide which, his application under Section 23 of the Maintenance and Welfare of Parents and Senior Citizens Act, 2007, (the Act of 2007), as well as his appeal, were dismissed. 2. At the outset, learned State counsel points out that the impugned order dated 30.04.2024 (Annexure P-5), has been passed by an authority devoid of statutory jurisdiction.
