The present writ petition under Article 226 of the Constitution of India has been filed for issuance of a writ in the nature of mandamus directing respondents No. 2 & 3 to protect the life and liberty of the petitioners, and not interfere in their life and liberty at the instance of respondents No.4 to 7-private respondents. 2. Learned counsel for the petitioners seeks protection of life and liberty of the petitioners by contending that both of them having attained the age of majority, have married each other against the wishes of their respective family members and to seek appropriate protection from the authorities.
