This petition had been filed primarily against the deficit recovery of the actual price at which fancy registration numbers of vehicles were sold. 2. The State of Punjab has filed affidavit dated 07.04.2026 wherein it was stated that out of a total number of 173 cases, recovery of deficient amount had been effected in 62 cases whereas registration numbers in 69 cases had been blacklisted by the concerned authority.
