This is the first petition under Section 483 of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita, 2023 (corresponding to Section 439 Cr.P.C.) filed for grant of regular bail to the petitioner in case FIR No. 0079 dated 29.03.2022, registered under Sections 307, 323, 324, 341, 458, 506, 427, 148 and 149 of the Indian Penal Code, 1860 (now corresponding to Sections 109, 115(2), 118(1), 126(2), 331(6), 351(2), 324(4), 191(3) and 190 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, 2023) at Police Station City Samana, District Patiala. 2. Brief facts of the case are that the present FIR was initially registered against the co-accused on allegations that they, along with other persons armed with deadly and sharp-edged weapons, caused multiple injuries to the complainant, Jaskaran Singh, who sustained grievous injuries.
