Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner has joined the investigation and his custodial interrogation is no more required in this case. 2. Status report filed by way of an affidavit dated 04.05.2026 of Jaskaran Singh, PPS, Deputy Superintendent of Police, Sub-Division Tapa, District Barnala on behalf of respondent-State is taken on record. 3. Learned State counsel has not refuted the aforesaid assertions made by learned counsel for the petitioner and further, on instructions from ASI Sewa Singh, submits that the petitioner is not required by the police for further investigation or custodial interrogation. 4. Mr. Bachanpreet Singh, Advocate has put in appearance on behalf of the complainant and filed his power of attorney. The same is taken on record. 5. In view of the above, without commenting on the merits of the case, the present petit
