The present petition has been filed under Section 483 of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita, 2023 (erstwhile Section 439 Cr.P.C.) seeking grant of regular bail to the petitioner in case FIR No.17 dated 25.01.2024 registered under Sections 307, 353, 186, 332, 323, 324, 506 and 34 IPC, (Section 326 IPC added subsequently), at Police Station Sadar Kharar, District SAS Nagar, Mohali. 2. The case of the prosecution is that the petitioner, who was wanted in another criminal case, was being apprehended by the police party. It is alleged that the petitioner, along with his brother/co-accused Gurinder Singh, resisted the police and scuffled with them.
