(ORAL) Prayer in the instant writ petition filed under Articles 226/227 of the Constitution of India is for issuance of a writ in the nature of Mandamus directing respondents No.1 and 2 to renew/re-issue the passport of the petitioner in pursuance of his application dated 28.10.2023 (Annexure P-2). 2. Learned counsel for respondents No.1 and 2-Union of India informs the Court that as on date no application for renewal/re-issuance of the passport of the petitioner is pending before the passport authority. However, he submits that in case the petitioner submits a fresh application supported by requisite information as well as supporting documents, the same would be considered and appropriate order shall be passed thereon (as the circumstances may warrant), within a period of eight weeks from the date when such
