Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the case was adjourned sine die to await the decision in Criminal Appeal No. 1060 of 2015 titled Gulshan Kumar Khurana vs. State of Punjab, which now stands adjudicated and the petitioner has been acquitted of all the charges against him. It is contended that the petitioner is, therefore, entitled to the release of increments which had accrued to him from time to time during his service tenure.
