Challenge in the present writ petition is to the order dated 26.11.1997 (Annexure P-4) passed by respondent No.1 on a petition filed by respondent No.2 under Section 42 of the East Punjab Holdings (Consolidation and Prevention of Fragmentation) Act, 1948 (hereinafter referred to as the ‘Consolidation Act, 1948’). 2.
