The jurisdiction of this Court under Article 226 of the Constitution of India has been invoked for issuance of a Writ in the nature of Habeas Corpus to search and produce minor detenue, daughter of the petitioner, who has been illegally kidnapped/detained by respondents No.4 to 8. 2. Learned counsel for the petitioner has submitted that minor daughter of the petitioner has eloped with respondent No.4 on 05.03.2026 and an FIR No. 48 dated 08.03.2026 under Sections 137 (2), 87, 61(2) of BNS (corresponding to Section 363, 366, 120-B IPC) has been registered at Police Station, Kartarpur, District Jalandhar Rural. 3.
