Instant petition has been filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India seeking a writ of mandamus directing the respondents to extend benefits of service and salary at par with the employees who were appointed in the same selection on the post of Associate Professor, though being governed under the same service rules i.e. in the gross pay of Rs.2,20,351/- with the initial basic pay fixed at Rs.1,15,800/- along with arrears of salary with interest @ 18% per annum. 2.
