In W.P.(C) 16432/2022, the Petitioner is a retired employee of the National Council for Promotion of Urdu Language (“NCPUL”) who seeks release of pension and retirement gratuity under the General Provident Fund-cum-pension scheme. In W.P.(C) 4895/2023, the Petitioners are employees of NCPUL who apprehend denial of pensionary benefits despite having been treated throughout as subscribers to the same scheme. Amongst them, during the pendency of the petition, Petitioner No. 2, Shahnaz Akhter, is stated to have retired, and her claim has consequently assumed the character of an actual pensionar
