The petitioners have filed the instant petition under Articles 226/227 of the Constitution of India, seeking issuance of a writ of mandamus directing the respondents to grant the benefit of revised UGC Pay Scale, granted vide Notification dated 10.05.2023 (Annexure P-4), to the petitioners w.e.f. 01.01.2016 and to release arrears of salary with interest @ 12% per annum. 2. After arguing the case for sometime, learned counsel for the petitioners wishes to withdraw the instant petition with liberty to first approach the competent authority for redressal of their grievances by serving a justice demand notice. 3.
